What's new in Maximo Health 9.0 and Maximo Predict 9.0
Learn about what's new and changed in Maximo Health and Maximo Predict.
Component versions
- Change in Maximo Health and Maximo Predict component version numbers
- Starting from Maximo Health 9.0 and Maximo Predict 9.0, the component version numbers align with the Maximo Health and Maximo Predict versions. Due to continuous
delivery, the component version number is incremented continually. Select the component with the
highest version number to obtain the latest version. Major and minor patch versions remain the same,
such as 9.0.0 and 9.0.1.
For more information, see Maximo Application Suite release notes.
New features and enhancements
- Add the mean time between failures (MTBF) score to all assets
- The MTBF score is an average time that is used as a crucial element of maintenance management.
The mean time between failure (MTBF) is an average value that can be used to estimate the possible
failure of the assets. MTBF is calculated by dividing the total time of operation by the number of
failures that occur during that time. Also, you can apply the MTBF threshold filter on the asset
records to evaluate the MTBF score.
For more information, see Mean time between failures (MTBF).
- Add default scores to all assets
- The system prompts you to activate the default scores such as health, criticality, and risk
scores for all the assets in the system. When default scores are activated in the system, all the
existing assets and the assets that are added in future are considered for default scores
calculation. You can manually activate or deactivate the default scores. All the assets that are
considered for default score activation are added to the Default_scores
scoring group. Also, you can duplicate the default scores to use and modify its contributor as
needed.
For more information, see Default scores.
- Threshold for scores
- This version includes a Thresholds tab in the Score
settings page. On this tab, you can create thresholds for MTBF scores. When you apply the
threshold as a filter on assets records, indicators with MTBF scores are displayed based on the
configured ranges of the threshold. Thresholds help you evaluate the MTBF scores.
For more information, see Configuring thresholds.
- Add data needed for score calculations
- You are prompted to provide the data that is needed for the score calculations. The system
indicates the missing data, such as the asset installation date and expected life for an asset as
provided by the manufacturer. This data is needed for calculating the scores such as age, health,
remaining useful life (RUL), and mean time between failures (MTBF).
For more information, see Adding missing data.
- Maintain Maximo Models for Electrical Distribution within the application
- As an administrator, you can activate, deactivate, or upgrade the Maximo Models
for Electrical Distribution from the Suite Administration
page.
For more information, see Maintaining Maximo Models for Electrical Distribution.
Technical updates
- Map support
- Support is deprecated for Bing Maps and Google Maps as map providers. Support is available for the OpenMap application. For more information, see Map manager.
- Upgrading to Cloud Pak for Data version 4.8 requires retraining models
- Upgrading Cloud Pak for Data to version 4.8 through Maximo Application Suite or Maximo Predict negatively impacts the
existing trained models. Plan to retrain the models with Cloud Pak for Data
version 4.8 before you upgrade to version 9.0 of Maximo Application Suite or Maximo Predict.
For more information, see Upgrade of Cloud Pak for Data requires retraining for some models of Maximo Predict.
Improved user interface
