Logging in by using SafeNet RADIUS with Challenge-Response

SafeNet Challenge-Response mode, displays a challenge. You specify this challenge to the MobilePASS application, which in turn generates a passcode. You then use the generated passcode to log in.

Refer to Table 1 to determine which login option matches your specific configuration. Complete the required steps.

  1. Enter any single alphabetic character in the password field and press Enter.
  2. Copy the challenge, paste it in the MobilePASS application, and generate a passcode.
  3. Enter the MobilePASS passcode in the password field.
Server-side User Select
  1. Enter any single alphabetic character in the password field and press Enter.
  2. Copy the challenge, paste it in the MobilePASS application, and generate a passcode.
  3. Enter the PIN followed by the MobilePASS passcode in the password field.
User-selected PIN
  1. Enter any single alphabetic character in the password field and press Enter.
  2. Copy the challenge, paste it in the MobilePASS application and generate a passcode.
  3. Enter the passcode in the password field.
New PIN required
  1. Enter any single alphabetic character in the password field and press Enter.
  2. Copy the challenge, paste it in the MobilePASS application, and generate a passcode.
  3. Enter the PIN followed by the passcode in the password field. (The PIN is not needed in User-selected PIN mode.)
  4. Respond to the prompts to enter a new PIN.
Consider the following in-band authentication example for SafeNet RADIUS challenge response:

  •  1  In this example, a policy name has been entered. The SafeNet RADIUS authentication method is configured for a challenge response, which you must already know.
  •  2  Enter any single character to generate the challenge.
  •  3  Respond to the SafeNet RADIUS challenge.
    Note: Respond to the challenge on this line. Do not press Enter first.
