Outbound UNH Envelope
The Outbound Envelope allows you to determine outbound parameters for the UNH (EDIFACT) option. The Outbound UNH Envelope dialog box is displayed.
Note: EDIFACT version 4 defines the infrastructure necessary to support
the creation (and processing) of interchanges that have been encoded
using a character set other than 8-bit ASCII. Microsoft Windows supports
the processing of an encoded interchange as long as the encoding matches
the default code page of the operating system where it is running.
The following describes the parts of the Outbound UNH Envelope.
| Part | Description |
|---|---|
| Message Reference Number (UNH01) | Enter a unique reference number assigned by your company. |
| Message Type (UNH0201) | Enter the message type as defined for the Partner ID. |
| Version Number (UNH0202) | Enter the version number of the message type in the functional group. For example, "92" for version "92.1." |
| Version Release Number (UNH0203) | Define the release number of the current version number. For example, "1" for version "92.1." |
| Controlling Agency (UNH0204) | Enter the code that identifies the agency controlling the specification, maintenance, and publication of the message type (for example, "UN"). This must contain three alphanumeric characters if you are using EDIFACT version 4 or later or two alphanumeric characters if you are using an EDIFACT version earlier than version 4. |
| Version Association Code (UNH0205) | Enter the code assigned by the association responsible for the design and maintenance of the message type. |
| Common Access Reference (UNH03) | Define the key that relates all subsequent transfers of data to this partner. |
| EDIFACT Syntax Version 4 | See the table of parameters below. Note: If you
type a version number earlier than version 4 in the Syntax Version
box on the Outbound UHB Envelope dialog box, the system disables the
version 4 fields in both the UNB and UNH dialogs and any data in those
fields will not be saved when you exit the Outbound UNB Envelope dialog
box.
