Outbound GS Envelope

The Outbound Envelope allows you to determine outbound parameters for the GS (X12, EDIA, or UCS) option. The Outbound GS Envelope dialog box is displayed.

The following describes the parts of the Outbound GS Envelope.

Part Description
Functional Group ID (GS01) Displays the Group ID as defined for the Partner ID. This is the functional group ID assigned by the standards.
Applications Senders Code (GS02) Mandatory. Enter the ID for your company. This value will appear in the GS segment.
Note: The minimum length is 2 and the maximum length is 15.
Applications Receivers Code (GS03) Mandatory. Enter your Trading Partner’s ID. This value will appear in the GS segment.

Last Used Control Number (GS06) Define the group control number that was last used for generating group control envelopes. The system will assign control numbers sequentially, adding one to the number you specify here. If you specify zero, the system will assign "1" as the beginning group control number.
Responsible Agency Code (GS07) Mandatory. Define the standards agency responsible for the standard in the GS segment:
  • T = TDCC
  • U = UCS
  • X = ANSI X12
Note: The minimum length is 1 and the maximum length is 2.
Version (GS08) Mandatory. Enter the version number of the message type in the functional group.
