Creating an Output Record
Use this procedure to create an output record.
- Right-click a map object and select either Create
Sub > Output Record or Insert > Output Record.

The system displays the ODBC Output Record Properties dialog box
- On the Name tab, enter a unique output record name and description (if applicable).
- Select the SQL Operation tab to access the output options.
- Select the appropriate data source.
- Select the table you want to modify.
- Select the appropriate table operation.
- If necessary, select the option to automatically switch the specified operation (for example, insert to update or update to insert) and retry the operation again.
- Select the Key Field tab and select the appropriate options to define the key field.
- Select the Looping tab.
- In the Maximum usage box, enter the number of times the record can repeat (loop).
- If the record repeats (loops) and you want to specify an
extended rule for this output record, select the Loop Extended
Rules tab and define the rule.

- Click OK.
The system saves the output record and closes the ODBC Output Record Properties dialog box.
