Verifying the Engineering Publishing application files

If you do not receive a specific error as to why the Document Studio or Launcher client is not starting, you can complete these steps to verify that the installation completed successfully.

Procedure

  1. Verify that the IBM Engineering Lifecycle Optimization - Publishing installation is not corrupted.
    1. If the installation folder was renamed and is too long, you might need to shorten it.
    2. If the installation package was not fully extracted, files might be missing from your installation. Extract the package and reinstall the product.
  2. Verify that the Java™ Runtime Environment (JRE) folder exists in the correct location.
    The default location is: PUB\jre
    1. If you are using a JRE that is in another default location, verify that the JRE_HOME or JAVA_HOME environment variables specify the correct directory.
