This article describes data retention and deletion strategies for the Activity app.

The Activity app retains all activity data for the lifetime of the app (currently 2+ years), and all historical activity data for an individual organization.

Aspera on Cloud retains these attributes for a file transfer:
  • Organization
  • User's workspace
  • Data package name
  • Sender user's ID
  • Receiver user's ID
  • File ID
  • Filename
  • File size
  • File transfer timestamp
  • File transfer source IP address
  • Server IP address
  • Transfer size
  • Transfer rate

IBM Aspera on Cloud deletes all Personally Identifiable Information (PII) from the backend databases no more than 60 days after the end of the organization's subscription.

Users can query the data as far back in time as needed. Each query returns a maximum of 6 months of data.
