Log analysis
IBM® Spectrum Cluster Foundation Community Edition provides log analysis by an integrated Elastic Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana, and Beats). With this integration, IBM Spectrum Cluster Foundation Community Edition enables you to search, analyze, and visualize log data for efficient monitoring of your system.
The IBM Spectrum Cluster Foundation Community Edition Log Analytics Dashboard is powered by an integrated Elastic Stack. Elastic Stack tools include Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana, and Beats. Elasticsearch is the underlying engine that powers the IBM Spectrum Cluster Foundation Community Edition Log Analytics Dashboard. Elasticsearch is a highly scalable full-text search and analytics engine that stores, searches, and analyzes large volumes of data quickly and in real time. Logstash is the tool that manages and parses events and logs in IBM Spectrum Cluster Foundation Community Edition. Kibana is a browser-based analytics and search dashboard for Elasticsearch. Beats is the platform for building lightweight, open source data shippers for many types of data you want to enrich with Logstash, search and analyze in Elasticsearch, and visualize in Kibana.
The IBM Spectrum Cluster Foundation Community Edition Log Analytics Dashboard can be found under the Systems & Settings tab by selecting Logs Analysis. The IBM Spectrum Cluster Foundation Community Edition Log Analytics Dashboard uses drop-down filters that change what log data is presented in the dashboard. It includes a filter that narrows your results from all logs to a specific cluster, a severity filter that narrows your results to only warnings or errors, and a filter for timestamps to narrow your results to a specific range.
