An introduction to quote life cycle

A quote is a document that allows a customer to see a predetermined set of items and quantities at a predetermined price, to be delivered on a specific date. A quote's life cycle is represented by a pipeline.

The pipeline determines the statuses that a quote can be in and the transactions that process a quote in a particular status. A quote may move through multiple statuses in a particular stage of its life cycle.
