Connecting to Rational Build Forge

To model tasks and run them on Rational® Build Forge® as an automation engine, you must first connect to the Build Forge server.

Before you begin

Install the Rational Build Forge client as described in Installing the Rational Build Forge client.

About this task

To complete this task, you need to know the address of the Build Forge system and your user name and password for the system.

Procedure

  1. In the Workbench, click File > New > Other.
  2. In the New window, expand Deployment and click Build Forge Server Connection.
  3. Click Next.
  4. Type in a name for the connection, the address of the Build Forge system, and your user name and password.

Results

The connection appears in the Connection Explorer view.
