Tivoli® Federated Identity Manager can
be installed on a silent mode using a response file. You can install
several features at the same time on the same server or individual
features on separate servers by using a response file. This topic
provides procedures for the silent installation mode.
Note: The Tivoli Federated Identity Manager provides sample response
files
that are located under the /rsp directory in the Tivoli Federated Identity Manager CD or ISO image. You
can use the sample silent installer response file and update its values
according to your requirements.
Review the feature requirements
and decided if you want to install
the features together or separately.
Decide between the following
environment configurations:
- An existing supported version of WebSphere® Application Server.
- The embedded
version of WebSphere Application Server.
It is included with Tivoli Federated Identity Manager.
