Math curve charts
A math curve chart plots mathematical equation curves based upon user-entered
expressions.
Creating a simple math curve chart
- In the Chart Builder's Chart Types section, click the Math
curve icon.

The canvas updates to display a math curve chart template.
- Enter a starting value for the X-axis in the X value starts from field.
- Enter a ending value for the X-axis in the X value ends with field.
- Enter an equation that plots the graph curve in the equations field. Click
Add another column to include additional equations. Each equation treats
xas an independent variable. Equations allow the following:- +, -, *, /, %, and ^
- abs(x)
- ceil(x)
- floor(x)
- log(x)
- max(a,b,c...)
- min(a,b,c...)
- random()
- round(x)
- sqrt(x)
- sin
- cos
- exp
- tan
- atan
- atan2
- asin
- acos
