Configuring geospatial maps

In the geospatial maps configuration tool, you can configure the maps that are available to the user, the initial map center point, and the map zoom level.

Managing base maps
You can create, edit, or delete base maps in the solution. The base maps are available to display in the Operations view.
Setting returned data item limits
In the system properties administration page, you can limit the maximum number of data items and boundaries that are returned to the map and the list.
Configuring a geocoding provider
Configure a geocoding provider if you want to use geocoding when you add new items to the map in the Operations view. For example, you can use geocoding to determine a location for a specified address. You can also use reverse geocoding to determine a street address for a location that you specify in coordinates. Currently, Esri is the only supported geocoding provider.
Adding KML overlays
A KML file contains layers and collections of features that you can add onto an IBM® Intelligent Operations Center map. If you have data in XML format, you can use the KML schema to add features onto a map without requiring a data source. You can add KML overlays to base maps.
