Configuring units

Configure units of measurement for your Device Management Enablement solution application. Each measurement type is associated with a unit.

About this task

Configure units of measurement that can be used by your asset types. A unit is associated with a measurement type, and the measurement type can then be associated with one or more asset types. For example, in the default Sunshine solution application, the tons unit is associated with the usage measurement type.

Procedure

  1. Log on as <solutionID> administrator.
  2. Click Solution Administration > Configuration Tools > Application Configuration.
  3. Select your solution application from the Select a solution application to configure list.
  4. Click the Models tab.
  5. Select a model from the list of options.
  6. Click the Units tab.
    1. Click Create.
    2. Enter an ID and a name for the unit, and optionally enter a description.
    3. Click Save.
