Configuring workflow management for assets

Configure enterprise asset management (EAM) to manage the work orders and service orders that are required for the maintenance of your assets. You can optionally integrate tenants in your solution with your IBM® Maximo® Asset Management system.

To configure workflow management for assets, complete the following procedures based on your requirements:

Ensure that the postinstallation configuration to support enterprise asset management is complete. For each tenant that supports asset workflow, configure asset workflow either with or without integration with your EAM system. For more information, see Configuring enterprise asset management.
To configure service order data sources and work order data sources, see Configuring data sources for work orders or service orders.
To add the work order type or the service order type to a Filter window, see Filtering by work orders or service orders.
Configure the windows and actions to display for work orders and service orders. For more information, see Configuring windows and customized actions for work orders or service orders.
Configure the event actions to create and view service orders. For more information, see Configuring windows and customized actions for events.
To use a REST service to add properties to the display of work orders or service orders, see Adding properties to the display of work orders or service orders.
