Specifying the metadata library for the product or pack to customize
You must specify a metadata library for the product or the pack that you want to customize.
About this task
The product metadata library contains the information that determines which tasks, steps, and parameters are required to customize a product or components in a pack. This information controls what is displayed on the Product Parameters panel or the Component Parameters panel, the LPAR Parameters panel, and the DB2 Parameters panel.
After a product or a pack has been SMP/E installed, the default name of the product metadata library is hlq.SxxxDENU, where hlq is the high-level qualifier for the product or the pack, and xxx is the three-character prefix for the product or the pack.
