Docker integration for Linux

Platform ASC supports Docker, which is an open source containers platform for Linux.

Docker is used to build, ship, and run distributed applications. You can configure your application instance to include Dockerized services.
Docker concepts
To understand Docker, there are concepts that you should familiarize yourself with.
Dockerized services
To enable Platform ASC features to work in a Docker environment, you can create a Dockerized service that contains a Docker pod. A Docker pod can consist of one or more collocated containers.
Docker container dependencies
Dependencies can be defined between containers in the same pod, where the dependencies are specified by container names.
Network provisioning for Docker pods
Docker containers in the same pod share a network stack, with a network container created to facilitate this where necessary.
Persisting and sharing data across Docker containers
To share data volumes between containers within and across hosts in a grid, and to preserve containers' data volumes across containers life-cycles and dynamic placements in a grid, you need to configure data volumes.
Viewing Docker host status
Using the egosh resource list command, you can use the docker_active resource attribute to show the status of Docker host.
