Saving and managing your filters
Use filters to view only the inventory items that apply to a specific criteria that you are interested in. You can save, share and manage your custom filters.
Saving filters
To reuse a specific search criteria again and again, when the filter is active, click the arrow that is next to the Add Filter button, and then click the option to Save Filters As New Filter. In the Saved Filters window, you can supply a name to this particular set of filters, optionally share the filter, and then save it.
If you select Share With Other Users your filter becomes public. For more information about public filters see Public Filters. You can apply a saved filter to all items in Item Grid View, or to just a specific item within a work queue.
Public vs. private filters
Filters can be either public or private. By default, when you save a filter, it is private unless you specify otherwise.
- Private filters are only available to the user who created it.
- Public filters are made available to all IBM® MRO Inventory Optimization users within an organization.

On the Filter drop-down menu, you can find the Most Used Filters list, which contains up to three of your most saved filters. You can use the list to quickly choose and load one of your filters.
