APL BOM widget

The APL (Applications Parts List) and BOM (Bill of Materials) widget is a list of stock items that are used to make up a particular equipment part. Each equipment can have one or more stock items, or a single equipment piece.

One BOM can be linked to one or more equipment pieces, and alternative parts can also be listed on a BOM. The information comes from the BOM material records.

All information that is presented in this widget is read-only. You can change the columns that you want to view by selecting the show/hide columns icon. For more information on managing column views, see Managing column views

The widget contains the following columns:

• Host Equip ID: This is the equipment number from Set equipment, when matches with equipment number in Set BOM, BOM Type E records come through.
• Class: This is Class ID from Set equipment, when matches with Class ID in Set BOM, BOM Type G records come through.
• Short Description: Displays description from Equipment table for BOM type E and G. Displays the Activity descriptions for BOM type A.
• BOM type: 'E' is for equipment, when it's linked to one piece of equipment or a group of equipment it is a G. 'A' links to activities, so it can link to both equipment and activities.
• Division code
• Plant
• BOM number

You can further add columns from activities and equipment by using the show/hide columns icon.
