Exploring distributed assets
You can explore the inventory in the database for distributed assets and examine the contents of each. When you explore distributed assets, you choose to explore the assets in your inventory that are located on your distributed system.
About this task
When you explore distributed assets, you are exploring the assets in the inventory database that are located on the file systems or repositories on your enterprise servers.
You can limit the scope of your exploring in any of the following ways:
- You can explore assets of a particular type.
- You can limit the scope of a search to a particular attribute value.
Procedure
- Click .
- In the "Explore distributed assets" page, click the number in the Total column to open a summary page for that asset.
- The summary page contains multiple links that you can use to view detailed information about the asset.
