Defining data fields for projects
You can use predefined fields, called fixed fields, and custom fields in projects to gather required information. You can also use this information in generated reports. Fields include project fields, event fields, library fields, and plan, program, and campaign fields.
About this task
There are two types of project fields:
- Fixed fields are predefined in Marketing Operations OnDemand and include information such as title, job number, start date, and end date. You cannot change the name of the field or the data type, such as list or date. However, you can modify a field by specifying whether it is required, what help text to display, and whether it is included as a report field or report filter.
- Custom fields are fields that you add to collect more project data. You can define what information is collected by specifying a label and data type.
Project fields include fixed and up to 94 custom fields. Event fields include up to 94 custom fields. Library fields are fixed. Plan, program, and campaign fields include up to three custom fields.
This option is not in the defined list of values for this field. If this field is changed to a different value, this option will not be available in the future.
