Work with service tools user IDs and devices (IBM® i 7.3, or earlier)
Some functions are restricted to be performed by using only dedicated service tools (DST) and cannot be performed by using system service tools (SST).

- Configure service tools LAN adapter
- This function defines the Internet Protocol (IP) for the service tools adapter that is used for the Service Tool Server (STS) or the Operations Console (LAN). This option allows input for IPv4 and IPv6 addresses, adapter speed, duplex control, and the router IP and mask.
- Change service tools password level
- This function changes the password encryption from DES (PWLVL 1) to SHA (PWLVL 2) and cannot be reversed.
- Work with service tools security options
- This function provides the following options:
- Display console status screen (yes or no)
- Allow console device F18 take over (yes or no)
- Password expiration interval in days
- Maximum sign-on attempts allowed
- Duplicate password control
