Using Capacity Utilization recommendations
The IBM FSM Capacity Utilization gauges represent categories of utilization assessment. In addition to the status of each utilization gauge, the Capacity Utilization dashboard shows recommendations for each gauge that has a warning (yellow) or critical (red) status. If you complete the recommended action, the capacity utilization will be optimal.
Recommendations for individual capacity and resource utilization gauges are consolidated the Overall Utilization status and displayed at the top of the dashboard. If you complete the recommendations, the utilization gauge status changes after the management node is polled again, after either the next polling interval or after a few polling intervals. If the calculated utilization for a gauge exceeds the critical threshold for a gauge, the status is red and an actionable recommendation is displayed at the top of the dashboard. If you complete the recommendation, the utilization gauge status changes after the management node is polled again.
To view the recommendation for each gauge in the Capacity Utilization dashboard, move the mouse pointer over the question-mark icon for the gauge.
The following table provides links to documentation that might help you complete the recommendations, organized by each capacity or resource utilization gauge.
