A part vital to system function is unconfigured. Review the system error logs for errors that include parts in their failing item list that are relevant to each reason code. If you replaced those parts and the problem is not resolved, use this procedure.

  1. Power off the system. For instructions, see Stopping a system.
  2. Replace the system backplane at location Un-P1.
  3. Power on the system. For instructions, see Starting a system.
  4. Does the problem persist?
    • No: This ends the procedure.
    • Yes: Contact your next level of support. This ends the procedure.

  1. Power off the system. For instructions, see Stopping a system.
  2. Replace any unconfigured failing items. Complete the following steps to identify unconfigured failing items:
    1. On the ASMI Welcome pane, specify your user ID and password, and click Log In.
    2. In the navigation area, expand System Service Aids > Deconfiguration Records.
  3. Power on the system. For instructions, see Starting a system.
  4. Does the problem persist?
    • No: This ends the procedure.
    • Yes: Contact your next level of support. This ends the procedure.

  1. Power off the system. For instructions, see Stopping a system.
  2. Ensure that the cables that connect the system nodes and the cables that connect the system control unit and the system nodes are securely seated. For information about cabling, see Cabling the 9080-M9S system.
  3. Replace any unconfigured failing items. Complete the following steps to identify unconfigured failing items:
    1. On the ASMI Welcome pane, specify your user ID and password, and click Log In.
    2. In the navigation area, expand System Service Aids > Deconfiguration Records.
  4. Power on the system. For instructions, see Starting a system.
  5. Does the problem persist?
    • No: This ends the procedure.
    • Yes: Contact your next level of support. This ends the procedure.
