This Service Bulletin contains information about TPF 4.1 End of Service (EOS) and TPF4.1 maintenance related to EOS. This Service Bulletin applies to all customers who have TPF 4.1.
TPF 4.1 EOS date is December 30, 2010. As of this EOS date, IBM will have provided overlap support for both z/TPF and TPF 4.1 for five (5) years, including coexistence support in loosely coupled environments. TPFDF 1.1.3 will continue to be supported and is not included in the TPF 4.1 EOS announcement.
In support of TPF 4.1 EOS, IBM will offer an annual fee-based Service Extension (SE) for TPF 4.1. After EOS, TPF 4.1 support will only be available through a TPF4.1 Service Extension Agreement.

TPF 4.1 maintenance passwords will be reset on January 28, 2011. After this date, TPF 4.1 maintenance passwords will be provided only to customers who have a TPF 4.1 SE Agreement in place. TPFDF 113 maintenance passwords will continue to be provided to all TPFDF 113 customers.
Customers who do not have a TPF 4.1 SE Agreement in place will be able to obtain TPF4.1 cumulative maintenance that was issued only through the last PUT (PUT 25) by using the PUT-level download option through IBM/Boulder.
As of January 28, 2011, TPF 4.1 problem reports will be accepted only from TPF 4.1 customers who have a TPF 4.1 SE Agreement.
