Wayne Beaton, an old Smalltalk friend and IBM Software Services for WebSphere colleague of mine, has a new developerWorks blog, WebSphere Migrations: Practice and Experience. Wayne specializes in our department on migrating customer's business application code to the latest versions of WebSphere Application Server, either from older versions of WAS or from competitors' J2EE products. Wayne's also a real Extreme Programming kind of guy.
Like me, Wayne focuses on changes in the J2EE specs like Can't Use MessageListeners in J2EE and Change to JMS Sessions in J2EE 1.4. He focuses on them more than I do because they mess people up when they try to migrate their code. So far in his blog, Wayne is discussing code that is trying to be loosely coupled, but isn't really, and what to do about it. So, go check it out.
