It is seen many times that user wants to connect to a different database using the same adapter module or connect to an updated version of the same database. In these cases it becomes mandatory for users to update their JDBC driver using which the adapter will make a connection with the database. This post will give step by step procedure on how to update/change your JDBC driver for JDBC adapter on WebSphere Process Server.
Step 1: First login to administrative console of WPS using the below screen.
Step 2: Enter Environment --> Select "WebSphere variables"
Step 3: Click the corresponding database JDBC driver variable. In the current example, database is Oracle, and therefore the WebSphere variable is "ORA
Step 4:Change/Update the value of the WebSphere variable, to the driver path that contains the updated driver. Click Apply.
The JDBC Adapter will now use the JDBC driver from the updated path to make JDBC connections. Watch out this space for more such tips on configuring and troubleshooting adapters.
