Tangled web weaving...

There is so much going on right now that I can barely figure out how to put it into words. I've been trying to find a point to sit down and write this out and kept getting waylaid by everything else. Hopefully the new tooling that I've gotten together will make this all easier.
I am gearing up for SXSW in Austin. Surely you know that South by Southwest (SXSW) is one of the most amazing festivals combining technology, music and film into nine sleepless days. I'm going to be there with some of my developerWorks colleagues, and I'll be reporting from the field. Most of that reporting will happen from the developerWorks SXSW Adventure 2012 blog, so you should follow that. I'll also be tagging media on my Facebook and Twitter with #sxswdw, so you can keep track. Here are the things I'm hoping to put into play:
Regular blogging -- I don't plan to drag a laptop around with me, but I will have my new phone. (Droid Bionic. I love it.) I've pulled a little kit to keep this going. Right now I'm typing on my bluetooth keyboard. This makes it possible for me to actually TYPE an entry rather than running my finger around. I just do so much better typing! (I'll have some notes about my keyboard toward the bottom because I had some trouble getting it paired at first.)
Live Video -- I've set up a Ustream channel, which should allow me to broadcast live from my phone. I'm still getting that worked out, but I'm hoping the developerWorks community will make it easy for me to embedd the videos. I'll send out a tweet when I'm about to broadcast and you can join me. If you miss it, there will be archives via YouTube... which I will also try to embed. I've never seriously tried to do this, just tinkered around, so it should be entertaining watching me ramp up.
Interacting -- I'll be working the IBM booth and lounge during the Interactive days, so you can come by and say "Hi." However, I'm hoping that rather than just reading what I'm doing that you'll spend some time asking questions and interacting with me a little. It's creepy when people just watch. Give me some sign that you're there and we'll share this.
Grrrrrrrrrrr! I just found out how long my Bluetooth keyboard will last. I'm not going to finish this with my finger. I'll break for now and resume when it's charged. I guess I'm going to need a proper charging corner.
Oh, no! Have I gone Borg? Am I a gadget guy now? Lord, help me!
[P.S. I was not able to post this from my phone for a variety of reasons which I'll go into later. I had a great deal of difficulty working with this interface from the phone's browser. I may have a hack to help, but I won't know until I tinker. Stay tuned. I wrote this in Google Docs and then copied it into the blog later from my laptop. That just won't do for SXSW!]
