I Agree Standards is the way to go, if more software company's or
any company for that matter would pay more attention to standards
and not use lock-in tactics life would be so much easier and the
quality of software would be better too I imagine.<div> </div>
As far as the GNU/Linux vs Windows vs Mac vs Unix etc... well at
the moment I am using three out of four ;-) but GNU/Linux is the
one for me, it's the philosophy behind it more than the technology
that makes me GNU/Linux advocate. I always say to people when
asked, why I use GNU/Linux and if they should, "Use any Operating
System you want, just know what you're using and why there are
certain things you can't do, or restricted by laws from doing, then
make your choice... That's my philosophy anyway...
I have been waiting to read this entry long time now ..After much
