If you've been following my blog, you know that today is a big day for me personally, my 23 year wedding anniversary.
Our wedding day - May 2, 1986
So without further delay, here are the 3 things I promised my wife
1. The apology
Liz, I am so sorry I forgot our anniversary last year. I promise to never let my IBM work life completely take over our personal lives again. (Stephanie, you are going to help me out here, right??!!)
2. The anniversary wish
Liz, here's to 23 years of marriage and a continued lifetime of happiness on the smarter planet. Liz, this video is for you...thanks for picking such a special song for our wedding day. I have to say Stevie Wonder is still one of the coolest dudes on the smarter planet Stevie video.
3. The jewelry
It's looks like my wife got the last laugh on me and my jewelry plans. She sent me to the jewelry store today to pick up her engagement ring that had recently been repaired. Little did I know that by "repair" they meant a new 18k gold band and a "did he really say" platinum setting. I thought platinum was for really special occasions, say your 100 yr anniversary. Liz, I think we are going to have to skip the 4 star dinner we planned at Pazzo and go for their pizza. Hey Amanda, maybe I can help wash some dishes tonight at Pazzo or maybe I could moonlight there to help cover my recent jewelry investment. So I guess by now, everyone knows who's the smarter half in my marriage. It looks like my wife has been following our resources on Rational software. She certainly has mastered risk assessment and mitigation planning in LifeCycle Management. Who knows maybe she's headed to the Rational Software Conference starting on May 31st. What about you?
