First, congratulations to the Philadelphia Phillies in their World Series victory last night over the Tampa Bay Rays.
It was a nail biter of a game that had continued over from Monday's rain delay, and in the 7th inning it looked as though it could still go either way!
That had to be a long 28 year-drought, which is when the Phillies last won the World Series. I'm just sorry I couldn't have walked down South Street last night to enjoy the festive atmosphere (and a cheesesteak from Pat's) in the City of Brotherly Love.
While the Phillies were out celebrating, and as the U.S. presidential campaign winds down (or would that be up?) and heads into the final few days, IBM is offering up some assistance for Joe the Plumber and his ilk, small and medium-sized businesses.
The newest Express Advantage offerings -- which include hardware, software, and services -- were developed specifically for midsized companies, many of which are looking to better align their IT strategy with their business needs.
You can read about the new solutions here, but it's worth noting that IBM Global Financing is part of the package.
IBM's new "Why Wait" offering provides a "no interest, no payment" program for 90 days for those purchases made by December 31 of this year.
Meantime, check your own IT plumbing operation with the Aberdeen IT Security Assessment Tool, a complimentary web-based survey and diagnostic tool built in partnership with IBM and designed specifically for companies between 100 to 1,000 employees.
Me, I gotta get back to plugging up some of my own leaks here at work!
