If you find your way to this blog through the developerWorks site, you may have already seen this news.
But I suspect there are a whole bunch of others who find their way in elsewhere, so I wanted to take a moment to recognize some of my IBM colleagues and the great work they do in support of developers everywhere.
Last week, at the 17th Annual Jolt Product Excellent Awards, the developerWorks Web site received one of the software development's industry's highest honors: The Jolt Hall of Fame Award.
As Editor-in-Chief Michael O'Connell observed in his blog posting about the award and ceremony, developerWorks has consistently tried to do one simple, yet at the same time extraordinarily complex, thing: Prioritize the wants and needs of developers.
Judging from the never-ending 24-hour, 365-day-a-year flow of traffic and ongoing participation in the various developerWorks topics and communities (not to mention all those finely optimized search referrals!), you guys continue to meet the needs of developers around the globe.
Well done, troops.
Now, don't drink all that Jolt at once...it's not good for you (unless, of course, you've got to do some all night crash coding, in which case I heartily approve).
