When shopping, how often do you buy green? Do you buy organic? Even if it costs more? Be honest! One relatively study shows that 70 percent of Americans want to buy green, but of that number, only 40 percent are willing to pay extra for products that are better for the environment. In addition, 75 percent of shoppers feel that big-name brands are misleading consumers by exaggerating the actual environmental-friendliness of their products in hopes of attracting more buyers. So what's a company to do? Do business make the same decisions of how /where to invest? How about governments or schools?

to creating a better and healthier world in the 21st century. The overlap? Food is a constant. We all need it. Smarter food available to all no matter the location...can't fault that one. Chocolate...well...if you've been following my blog, you know it is a favorite food of mine. ...hence the link between smarter planet and Nestle's......chocolate is such a unifying force.
What impacts my buy decisions? What impacts my build decisions?
Those are questions I think we all ask when we focus our IT brain on "green" technology. Is it worth my time? my business' time? my personal time and choices?
For me, the answer is yes....what about you?
