Hello Ian,
Is this applicable to any "-Xdump" events or applicable only for "-Xdump:heap:events=user" events ?

In our environment, we are getting <sys> stanza in our verbose gc logs even though we've -Xdisableexplicitgc in our jvm arguments. Along with Xdisableexplicitgc we got -Xdump:stack:events=allocation,filter=#10m also in jvm arguments.
Could -Xdump:stack:events trigger heap dumps whenever there is 10mb + object allocation occurs ?
Thank you

Hi R S,

Setting -Xdump:stack:events=allocation,filter=#10m should not cause forced garbage collections and <sys> stanzas.
If you have set -Xdisableexplicitgc and still see <sys> stanzas, please raise a PMR support ticket so IBM can investigate this and tell you why this is occurring.
