IBM will be talking about a number of topics at JavaOne including JVM Support for Multitenant Applications; Resource Management in Java- Tips, Tricks, and Techniques; Open JDK- Java SDKs- Testing, testing, testing; Java EE Next: Java EE 7.8 and beyond; and much more.
Plan to hear the keynote by Jason McGee, IBM Distinguished Engineer and Chief Architect of WebSphere Cloud Computing and John Duimovich, IBM Distinguished Engineer and Java CTO, on Sunday, September 30. (The keynote sessions run from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm PT.) Jason will be talking about cloud workload patterns, Internet scale workloads and readying Java apps to deploy and run on Cloud. John will talk about innovations required in Java to support Cloud workloads.
Jason McGee will also be presenting a session, Deploying Java Applications on IBM PureApplication System. He will give an overview of IBM PureApplication System, an expert integrated system optimized for Java applications, and discuss how to use Patterns to deploy and manage both JEE and non-JEE Java applications. He will talk about the basic features of PureApplication System, discuss the concept of patterns, and provide examples of specific patterns around web applications and Java applications.
