From November 12th – 15th I had the privilege to attend the E2Innovate Conference and Expo at the Santa Clara Convention Center.
My colleague Cesar Liao and I were granted full access to the entire event. There were a plethora of successful business companies such as IBM, Mozilla, Google, and PayPal. Additionally, I was particularly excited about the wide variety of sessions I could attend. After completing IBM’s The Great Mind Challenge, Cesar and I had a pretty good understanding of social business.
We were eternally grateful for this opportunity to broaden our knowledge by listening to what other business professionals had to say about technology and innovation. The convention center was flourishing with business professionals who were also eager to listen to the guest speakers. The day usually started off with a morning breakfast followed by a Keynote. Here, guest speakers such as the CIO from Google, and IBM’s Vice President of Business and Technical Strategy shared a their company perspective of today’s innovation and technology and how their company is adjusting to it.
Afterward, we had the option of attending a lot of other sessions discussing a wide range of technology topics such as Social Business, Innovation, and Social Media Analytics. We also had the chance to speak with some of the guest speakers one by one to ask a few questions about their presentation.
Personally, not only did I enjoy the guest speaker’s presentations I was also extremely intrigued about the other attendees views and contradictions about the topic. I found the high level of conversation to be enriching, and I definitely learned a lot from hearing points from different people’s perspectives.
Ultimately, I had a wonderful time at this event and I am truly grateful to have had the opportunity to attend.
