Two-Place Transitive Verbs (VC)
The second two-place transitive verb construction is similar in that the action of the verb is divided equally in two places. Constructions with VC verbs are often more subjective in nature. The ability to express the context of the action (through reification) is a must in this case.
Given the business scenarios expressed in the VG section, the loss of one of the triples would have meant the loss of important context. But it would not have impacted the objective truth of what remained.

All of us would prefer to see the connection maintained. The business scenario would not be completed without it. In a VC construction, the context must be retained.

Each of these characteristics has a context that links back to a particular perception.
The perception of each characteristic must be maintained. Of great value in RDF/OWL is the ability to incorporate perception into semantic models, and maintain it as such. The incorporation of perception without context will lead to factual conflict.

VC constructions typically have a sense of making their objects into something. The context tells us who has this perception.

Now, given some semantic manipulation an argument in favor of all the above triples being indicative of a characteristic, reification is preferred.
