This most excellent video from our friends over at IBM Electronic Support demonstrates how to download software products from Passport Advantage Online, which you can get to from the IBM Support Portal.
Suffering from the fear of missing out? Well, you've come to the right place! Following are the latest in downloads released by Rational last week between Sept 19th, 2011 and today (and check out the 'tags' above to find other downloads you may have missed):
Announcing the General Availability of Rational License Key Server version 8.1.2. This release extends the "Borrow" capability to Rational products so that you can 'borrow' a license for an extended period of time and continue working while disconnected from the network. Please refer to the Rational Common Licensing Information Center for more information on Borrow and how to use it on different platforms. In addition, this release focused on defect and APAR fixes.
Select the appropriate option, then scroll to the bottom of the page and click "Continue". Follow the instruction to progress through the rest of the selection and download steps.
IBM Rational License Key Server uses FLEXnet® for licensing. FLEXnet is a third party licensing system marketed by Flexera Software. For more information about FLEXnet licensing, see the FLEXnet License Administration Guide available from Flexera Software.
Here's another quick rundown of the downloads posted for Rational products in the past week. These are the downloads posted since July 27th, 2011.

We value all feedback received and want to improve our efforts to ensure you see greater benefits from our work here. But we can only adjust if you let us know what we're doing right, and what we may be doing wrong!
The month of July so far has seen a few downloads released, and knowing how this month can be a bit disjointed due to vacations and holidays, we thought it may be helpful to capture and highlight those downloads which you may have missed.
If you do find this collation of downloads helpful, we'd love to hear about it in the comments or through our other social channels to help us identify those successes
Imagine my surprise when I came in to work Wednesday morning and saw the visit count on the prior day's post (Twenty seven new downloads now available!) showed over 800 visits! From my use of an exclamation point in that previous sentence, I'm sure you can discern that 800+ visits on a single post in 24 hours isn't typical for this blog, and is particularly high for what we'd consider normal levels of traffic.
This pleasant surprise got me to thinking: what specifically about that post resonated so greatly that warranted such a high visit rate?
We've posted technical content like this before with somewhat tepid results, and conversely we've posted op/ed type pieces with similarly high results, leading me to think that one type of content over the other isn't entirely the driver here. Perhaps it is the time it was posted, or perhaps the day it was posted? We HAVE seen posts made earlier in the day tend to see higher visit counts than posts made later in the day... and Tuesdays/Thursdays do tend to bubble up as higher traffic days as well.... but I still can't get away from the idea that I'm still missing something relating to the specifics of the content we are publishing out...
So I'm coming to you, our audience, to ask you to answer two very pointed questions:
What type of content really resonates with you; drives you to click through and visit this blog?
Has our content ever helped you resolve an issue with which you'd otherwise have opened a PMR to find help?
Helping us with these two questions will, of course, result in providing you with more focused content particular to what you find valuable and helpful!
And, in case you may feel a bit unintentionally duped by my title of this particular post, hoping to find even more downloads similar in fashion to the post referenced above, have no fear; here's a few more which hit our streams over the past two days:

Over the past week, and particularly this past weekend, a few new downloads made their way through our tweet stream and Facebook wall. Seeing as these were posted during typically 'off' hours for most of us, we thought it would be of some benefit to highlight those recent releases here, to raise visibility in the case that you may have missed and need one or more of these downloads:

IBM Rational Rhapsody v7.5.1 provides a new integration between IBM Rational Rhapsody TestConductor and IBM Rational Quality Manager that creates a live test plan that spans the entire product life cycle and provides a consolidated view of quality from requirements to final product delivery. With this new integration, a live test plan displays requirements, test cases, and other resources in one server-based document, helping geographically dispersed team members collaborate in real time.
Automotive systems developers, leveraging the AUTOmotive open System ARchtecture (AUTOSAR) to manage complexity and deliver robust systems, can now generate behavioral code for AUTOSAR Software Components from IBM Rational Rhapsody targeting the AUTOSAR Runtime Environment (RTE). IBM Rational Rhapsody provides a cohesive development environment throughout the product development life cycle from concept specification to production code on the embedded target. Within a single environment, systems and software developers of automotive systems analyze requirements, specify design, generate production code, and test design.
IBM Rational Rhapsody v7.5.1 adds improvements to its industry-leading systems engineering capabilities to provide a more flexible and robust development environment. It enables teams using Eclipse to perform their systems engineering activities in the same environment through new integrations of the IBM Rational Rhapsody systems engineering editions, IBM Rational Rhapsody Designer for Systems Engineers, and IBM Rational Rhapsody Architect for Systems Engineers. SysML is growing in popularity as the common language to specify systems engineering models and Rhapsody v7.5.1 provides further alignment with the SysML 1.1 specification to capture designs with the latest SysML 1.1 specification.
It is now possible to extract information from the IBM Rational Rhapsody model for publishing with IBM Rational Publishing Engine (RPE) to automate documentation generation from a variety of sources, including IBM Rational DOORS, automating delivery of comprehensive documentation.
New capabilities help embedded software developers improve the animation of existing code for visual debugging and testing. Also, it is now possible to customize the generation of C++ code to help deliver applications meeting corporate and industry mandated coding standards.
IBM Rational Rhapsody v7.5.1 is also translated into Japanese to provide a version for the Japanese user. Menus, toolbars, help, and documentation are translated to make it easier for the Japanese systems engineer or developer of embedded systems and software to use.
Nadynne Brady, Licensing Technical Support Manager, reports that there are several new instructional videos now available around Licensing - Getting License Keys, Product Downloads and Entitlement Changes.
A brief overview of software downloads, generating license keys, changing entitlements and getting support is available in a new video entitled "Rational OnDemand" (13:24). It is not intended to replace any in depth training such as the PA Online tour.
There are 5 new modules on using License Key Center (LKC):

All legacy Telelogic products, integrations, patches, and documentation (prior to November 2008 releases) are now available on IBM.com for heritage Telelogic clients.
The IWM (IBM Web Management) site has gone live with all legacy Telelogic downloadables in preparation for the July sunset of support.telelogic.com. This site is available for all internal and external clients who may need access to older products, patches, integrations, or documentation.
Each product version’s specific download links can be found in the technotes titled: “Telelogic <product name> product legacy downloads now located on IBM.com” and available under the corresponding product support download pages on IBM.com.
Where do I find the Telelogic downloads on IBM.com?
If you need downloads (product, docs, integrations, patches, release notes) for versions released prior to November, 2008, these will also all be found in the Legacy Download Technote Flashes on IBM.com product support pages, as pointers to the appropriate package locations on IBM.com
If you need patch downloads for versions released after November, 2008, these are also all found in the respective IBM product support pages via the “Download” navigation menu item:
You can navigate to these download documents as follows:
From http://www.ibm.com/software/rational/support/telelogic/ select the product you are concerned with. This will open to the product’s main support overview page. From this page, click the “Download” button in the navigation menu on the right, doing so will open the product’s Download page. Either select the latest download document from the ‘featured’ box, or search for the particular item you are looking for. The download documents displayed will contain pointers to the actual download locations on IBM.com (be it FixCentral, FTP, etc. )
