Francie asked if there was a way to get the personal address book to automatically synch with the DWA (DominoWeb Baccess) address book without manual intervention.
In Notes 8, you will. Specifically, on the replicator page, we're putting a "synchronize address book" item that is unchecked by default (not replicated).
Ted will have to check it on AND then go to his personal address book (now called Contacts) preferences, and also check on a preference to allow this to happen.
Once he does this, his Contacts will be synched according to her replication schedule. (FYI, Samantha does not use DWA, that's why Ted-the-Marketing exec is doing this rather than Samantha.)
It's pretty easy for Ted to discover the new item on the replicator page, but I do admit that he'll be unlikely to know to go and flick on the Contacts preference unless folks like you tell her. (In the screenshot below, it's the that 4th checkmark about "Enable Synchronize Contacts"....
This 2-step process is, I admit, not ideal. The reason for this process is that in Notes 8, the "regular" mail template and the "DWA"template are one and the same-- they are merged.
Since Samantha will still be using just the Notes client and not DWA, we did not want to just have this synch turned on for all folks automatically.
