Mathematical optimization is often called Operations Research (OR). I'll keep using mathematical optimization, or optimization in short, here, but if you want to learn more about it look for OR resources, for instance OR blogs.
The good news here is that Mike Trick is maintaining a list of interesting blogs on his home page: http
Beside this list, Mike's blog is worth following. It is one of the most followed blog about mathematical optimization. Mike is a respected authority in the field, having contributed a lot to the community. For instance he launched a very useful resource, OR Exchange, where one can ask questions about mathematical optimization and get useful answers within a day.
Another great source of material is INFORMS website. INFORMS is the North America society for Operations Research, but it includes members from all over the world.
I would be killed by my marketing colleagues if I wasn't adding that we have produced some useful material too. For instance have a look at the examples and tutorials in our products documentations. You'll find useful links to find these and more at the right of this page.
