Nice story. I fully agree and it rings a lot of bells but "now we have that in java too"?Too bad you completely missed the SQLJ technology in the past years. Okay, it is not used much in the "hello java world" but I've seen it being used... in a z/OS environment.

You are quite correct but SQLJ is just not pervasive. Perhaps my wording with regards to the product and tooling failed to reflect what I was trying to say - "Very easy". Why aren't more companies using SQLJ technology?
