I spent several hours this evening surfing the Web for sites on software architecture. I must admit that it was a bit depressing. While I encountered a few vibrant sites (for example, the software architecture group at the Software Engineering Institute), most of the pages I uncovered were either dormant, horribly dated, or full of dangling references (and even the most vibrant sites seemed a bit stale to me). Granted, the Web is a fickle mistress when it comes to distinguishing pearls and swine, but I was surprised to find so few pearls. If it's any consolation, my sparse findings might be explained away by the Google IPO which looms tomorrow morning, for their search engines might be otherwise busy counting the expected billions.
Anyway, I did some digging through the muck so that you don't have to, and landed with a fairly small but useful collection of sites which I've documented in the Handbook (sorry, as I've explained before, you'll have to nominally register at the site, because it keeps out the spammers).
