So this is very nice. The good team over on Power IT pro
has been steadily increasing the presence of technical information around Linux and Power systems. I follow their email newsletter and enjoy the technical hints and tips they provide.
Yesterday, Erwin Earley started a new blog
on PowerITpro focused specifically on the world of Linux and Power. Quoting from their latest page:
Introducing Our New Power Linux Blog
We're starting a new POWER IT Pro blog targeted specifically at those who are responsible for the administration of Linux instances or those POWER-focused pros who want to gain deeper insight into how to work with the Linux operating system. The intention of the blog is really three-fold:
- Provide tips and techniques specific to system administration tasks
- Provide tips and techniques that unique to the Power community and Linux on Power
- Provide and structure the information along the lines of the Linux Professional Institute level 1 exams (LPIC-1)
I particularly like the focus Erwin has proposed in translating many of the x86'isms inherent in the LPIC exams to Power-specific thoughts and considerations. I encourage you to follow the blog
! Occasionally, I'll cross-blog here in the PowerLinux Community to keep our realms connected.
On a final note, help us find more Linux and Power technical resources, blogs, message boards, and sources of information. Add a message or comment here with a pointer, and we'll follow-up.
