Thanks Dave for your post. I have tried this sample application but can not create the war file using Apache Ant utility. Can you please specify which files we have to placed in SampleExternalDataService directory? I have already followed the instructions which are in the .pdf document. I will wait for your response. Thanks. <div>&nbsp;</div> Junaid Azam.

Hi Junaid. The ant script depends on the env.properties file that may refer to different paths depending on your environment. The default paths assume that IBM Case Manager is installed on the machine you are building from so it references some jar files from under the .../IBM/CaseManagement tree: JSON4J_Apache.jar, jace.jar and pe3pt.jar. Also it needs the location of a j2ee.jar file. It can be downloaded as per the pdf document or a version of this file can also be found in a WAS installation directory. <div>&nbsp;</div> If the default paths in env.properties don't match your environment, then the file must be modified to reference valid paths. Hope this helps. <div>&nbsp;</div> David Hanson <br />

Hi, This is Kamran. We have used EDS given in the link. It is getting data from an xml file as datasource. Is there any sample in which we can use a database instead, as datasource.

Hi Dave, <div>&nbsp;</div> Do you have any idea how we can use database(Oracle 11g) as datasource instead ExternalData.xml with given above sample external data service? <div>&nbsp;</div> Will appreciate your help! <div>&nbsp;</div> Best Regards , <div>&nbsp;</div>
