It's SHARE time again already - well almost.
This weekend a group of us from Hursley are heading to Atlanta, expecting another great week telling the SHARE crowd about all the great features we've put in Version 4.2, recent CICS Tools announcements and much more. I'm particularly looking forward to talking again about how CICS relates to the values of Cloud Computing. I also get to do the Project Opening with Geoff Pirie and Gene Hudders from C/TREK.
You can look at the SHARE CICS Project Agenda for more details on all the sessions which the Hursley and Worldwide CICS teams plus the customer presenters will be giving.
A piece of late breaking news is that the lunchtime session at 12:15pm on Thursday will now be a workshop on the use of social media (such as this blog, of course) within the CICS community. We'll be looking at as many of the media vehicles with CICS content on the web as we can in an hour, and asking the audience for feedback on which are the most useful. Additionally, as I will mention in the Project Opening, we're going to try to use Twitter as an additional way to submit questions to the Thursday "Q-Box" session (4:30pm) - more details coming over the weekend.
We'll also be posting daily (so long as we actually get time to write them!) updates each day of the conference next week.
Ian J Mitchell, IBM Hursley.
