Please join us in a virtual round-table* discussion on Agile. The focus of the discussion will be metrics in an agile environment:
1. What are the most important metrics to help Agile Teams to improve?
2. Are metrics against the agile value of simplicity -- "maximizing the amount of work not done"?
3 What kinds of metrics have you seen implemented that drive the wrong behavior?
4. What is best way to determine what metrics should be tracked for Agile?
5. What are the type of metrics that should be tracked for Agile?
We have a number of agile methodology experts invited to the table and this is your opportunity to ask questions, share your insights and participate in a worldwide virtual conversation. Some of our special guest attendees, include Walker Royce, Rick Weaver, Mike O'Rourke, Kristof Kloeckner and more!!!
At the conclusion of this roundtable, we will run a retrospective and get your thoughts on how well this worked and find out what other Agile topics you would like to discuss in open forum with a worldwide audience of agile experts, including Customers, IBMers, Business Partners and Industry Thought Leaders. look forward to your participation and feedback on this innovative way to collaborate.
We have created some breakout groups to make the conversation a little easier to follow
There has been such a great response to the original topic that we have started some breakout topics for more focused discussion. The original topic is also still live and unbounded within the area of agile metrics. Are your metrics from agile projects being used at the enterprise level to inform decisions or attract investment? - take a look at the enterprise level breakout topic. How transparent should metrics be to people outside of the project team, can they be misused, does hiding them from management go against agile principles? - take a look at the metrics transparency and misuse breakout topic. Do you have thoughts on measuring the business value achieved and how that works with the agile continuous value delivery? - take a look at the business value achieved breakout topic.Click on the sticky notes below to get started!
Our moderators for this event include:
*Virtual round-table - the use of Social collaboration software to enable participants to discuss a featured topic, roughly analogous to people to sitting around a table to discuss various topics . This enables our discussion to he held across time and space without the constraints of having people together in the same physical room at the same time!!! You can come and go as you please and participate as often as you like.
Note: You will need to be a member of this group to contribute to the discussion. Click HERE to join this group or go to the overview section and click on 'Join this Group' in the top right of the screen.
I look forward to hearing from you,
