Um, as far as I can remember "crontab -e" and "crontab -e <username>" do exactly the same, and notify cron of the changes.</username>

Hi, Brain, sorry to dug this old post out but for the task that remove a crontab item, can we do: <div>&nbsp;</div> crontab -l | grep -v "echo test &gt;&gt; /tmp/testing" | crontab <div>&nbsp;</div> Any problem with this grep one? Thanks a lot for answering.
