Hello, and welcome to my first blog entry in this blog. Let me tell you a little bit about myself and what I will be covering in the upcoming blogs.
I have worked at IBM since 1997, starting in the Hursley Software Lab working as part of the Emerging Technologies team, then moved in to the IBM Innovation Centre (IIC). I've had the chance to use some interesting technology whist at IBM and the latest area I have worked in is Cloud Computing. I created the Cloud Computing mission in the IIC almost 3 years ago, and last year moved to the World Wide team where I am responsible for technical enablement work for Cloud Computing within the ISV & Developer Relations organisation.
Shortly after joining the World Wide team I got the mission of enabling some of our 40+ Innovation Centres on PureSystems, so we could work with ISVs to get their solutions enabled on IBM's newest family of systems - PureSystems. This covered both the PureFlex system and also PureApplication System. If you're not familiar with PureSystems please take a look here.
Part of my role is travelling to IICs, working with ISVs and helping IIC technical staff enable ISV solutions to IBM cloud technology. In future posts I will share some of the tricks, tips, best practices that have come from the work I have done with ISVs.
So you all know - I do work for IBM, but the views and comments I make in this blog are my own and do not necessarily reflect the views or policies of IBM.
