IBM Lab - Dublin, OH: As a key component in IBM's Smarter Commerce initiative, the IBM Sterling B2B Integration Services Platform (GIODE) processes millions of business messages a day for hundreds of global multinational customers in order to streamline global supply chains.
To keep pace with "just-in-time" and "real-time" business processes, many customers require these messages to be delivered to their business partners in seconds or minutes, not hours or days. Because of this, a strong monitoring and reporting capability is required for all messages processed by the GIODE platform.
- First, a consolidated, real-time view into message age across the entire platform will provide support technicians a valuable tool to use while diagnosing system issues.
- Second, a Service Level Agreement database and reporting capability will capture all SLA infractions and will be the basis for reporting IBM's SLA performance to customers.
Upon completion of this effort, it is expected that these new capabilities will be folded into the overall GIODE product suite.
