Have asked the author for comments as this is not an error I have encountered.

there is a bug in the xcli (bug is fixed in the coming 3.1 release) that when your object (volume, pool...) name contains "-p" (like: "12-pdr23", "vg-pgr23") will return in the output (xml format) the object name as "-p ****" thinking it is a password.... <div>&nbsp;</div> anyway the fix for now (till 3.1 release) is to change the "-" to "_" or "." or " "

Do we have any tool or script to check the multipath validation of the hosts connected to an XIV array? <div>&nbsp;</div> This will be very useful during upgrades.

The Host Attachment Kit (HAK) has a tool called xiv_host_profiler. This tool checks if the host configuration conforms to XIV recommendations, including the multipath configuration. <br /> The HAK is available at https://ibm.biz/Bdx8Qc, and the documentation for xiv_host_profiler is available at: http://dhemppub03.mul.ie.ibm.com/infocenter/strhosts/ic/index.jsp?topic=%2Fcom.ibm.help.strghosts.doc%2FHAK%2F2.2.0%2FHAG%2Fhak_ug_ch7_xhop.html
